T(AI)ROT

T(AI)ROT was created in collaboration with Artificial Intelligence. Like a new form of divine channeling, each image on the 79 cards was gently coaxed out of the digital æther and brought to our physical reality through carefully-considered, text-based prompts within several generative AI programs.

The visuals within the T(AI)ROT are a new interpretation of the iconic illustrations of the legendary Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck, first developed in 1909 (perhaps the most well-known and recognizable deck to date). Though the artistic style may be much different, careful attention has been paid to maintaining the symbolism and general essence of these storied images.

One novel card, Source, has been created specifically for the T(AI)ROT. This card serves to enhance the experience of using the T(AI)ROT, and conceptually ties back to the genesis of the deck itself.
